Robert Dodd, president and managing attorney, has maintained his own law practice since receiving his J.D. from the University of Illinois in 1974. His primary responsibilities in the practice are profit and non-profit corporations, business organization, real estate and advice to start-up companies. In addition to his work with agricultural cooperatives and small companies, he has a particular interest in family legal matters and the needs of the developmentally disabled. Robert has also served as a Champaign City Council member, Champaign mayor and provides continuing leadership in the business community.

Shayla Louise Maatuka transitioned her private practice in Urbana into the partnership of Dodd Ludwig Maatuka. She combines her expertise as an entrepreneur – successfully establishing two businesses – with the practice of law, concentrating in real estate, personal injury, immigration and naturalization, as well as business and family law. Her passion for the community helps others achieve their goals through entrepreneurship. She currently sits on the board of the East Central Illinois Women Attorneys Association. Shayla earned her law degree from the University of Illinois and has been practicing since 2004.

Mary Christine Ludwig operates primarily from the Pontiac office and focuses her practice on business law with an emphasis on agricultural matters. A graduate of Drake Law School, Mary Christine is active in her family's farming operation and has a thorough knowledge of agricultural production issues. Mary Christine holds an MBA degree from Drake University, as well as a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Mary Christine is a member of the Champaign and Vermilion County Farm Bureaus, the Illinois Agri-Women Association and is an alumnus of the Illinois Agriculture Leadership Program.

Robert "Bob" Beyers has more than 25 years experience in business and commercial law, including commercial litigation and workers' compensation matters. In addition, Bob has handled many personal injury and medical malpractice cases. Bob received his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1974.

Robert Cochran comes to the firm after a distinguished career in the banking industry. He has extensive experience in estate and financial planning, particularly in the areas of wills, trusts and probate. Robert is a 1969 graduate of the University of Missouri School of Law. Robert is active in the community serving on various boards and committees, including Parkland College Foundation, Charles W. Christie Foundation, United Way of Champaign County Deferred Giving Committee and the Provena Investment Committee.

Mary K. Manning focuses her practice on family law. Mary joined the firm in early 2009 after 19 years of clerking in Kane County and working in child support enforcement in DeKalb and Champaign counties. She holds a degree in pre-Med from Clarke College in Dubuque, Iowa and has worked as a real estate broker and in retail management. She is also an active volunteer and board member for the Prairie Land Conflict Mediation Center. Manning received her J.D. from IIT Chicago Kent Law School in 1987.

Juanmanuel Garcia-Sanchez concentrates his practice in immigration and naturalization matters, business law, bankruptcy and real estate. He is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association Section Council on International and Immigration Law, as well as of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association. After receiving his law degree from Atlanta's Emory University School of Law in 2007, Juanmanuel relocated to Champaign. Juanmanuel is admitted to Illinois and Florida to practice law in those states. He is an immigrant from Peru and fluent in English, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese.

Roaa M. Al-Heeti concentrates her practice in the areas of corporate and business law, immigration, wills and trusts, real estate, guardianship, and family law. She earned a B.S., M.S. and J.D., all from the University of Illinois. Roaa became a member of the Illinois bar in 2007. She is active in several organizations, including the local mosque, American Immigration Lawyers Association, Executive Club and East Central Illinois Women Attorneys Association. Roaa was named one of "40 under FORTY" by Central Illinois Business Magazine.
